YEF in partnership with Malawi Police and UNICEF introduced GBV awareness campaign in Mzumanzi area. The meeting heard on 22 September 2020 involved giving lectures on what GBV is, forms of GBV, ways of managing GBV cases. The police finally concluded on the role of Malawi Police in tackling GBV cases from reporting to all numbers provided at a national level. We were also joined by the Child protection Officer looking after Mzumanzi community whose office is in Kanengo. The students and also the school received well translated GBV flyers which some will be pasted in the school. The flyers contained helplines. The UNICEF provided the detailed documents on managing GBV cases which were also translated to Chichewa and were given through one of the lectures by YEF staff. The kids were wearing their masks received from the same project.
